The Real World
By Tom Ottorness
Tom Otterness may well be “the world’s best public sculptor,” as the art critic Ken Johnson opined in the New York Times in 2002. Public art is his focus, and Otterness has had major outdoor exhibitions of his sculptures throughout NYC including “The Real World” at the Nelson Rockefeller Park in Battery Park.
Additional sculptures can be found in the NYC subway (14th Street & 8th Avenue Subway Station – A, C, E and L lines) and Silver Towers on 42nd Street (between 11th & 12th Avenues).
