Staying in the city this weekend + looking for a staycation adventure that will inspire FOMO worthy photos? Venture out on the NYC ferries! They’re the same price as the NYC subway but offer sunshine, fresh air, spectacular photo ops AND rosé + beer on tap!
Here are a few fun things to do this weekend at some of the stops:
SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG via East River (ER):
Domino Park for some beach volleyball or bocce with friends.
DUMBO via South Brooklyn (SB) or East River (ER):
Take a waterfront tour at Brooklyn Bridge Park, or treat yourself to a summertime cocktail + snack at Pilot. There’s also lots of great shopping + snacking throughout the Dumbo area as well as Jane’s Carousel and the new Time Out Market New York!
Sit back + relax on the hour-long ferry ride with your bike on board (+$1) to Rockaway for a boardwalk bicycle ride or hit Rockaway Beach Surf Club.
RED HOOK TERMINAL via South Brooklyn (SB):
Venture into Red Hook and explore all there is to eat, drink + instagram!
ASTORIA LANDING via Astoria (AST):
Sail past Roosevelt Island and check out the Socrates Sculpture Park located in Northern Long Island City.
NORTH WILLIAMSBURG via East River (ER):
Head over to the Williamsburg Hotel’s new swanky rooftop bar, The Water Tower, to savor an artisanal cocktail + a stunning sunset. Or spend the day at their rooftop pool (cover charges +food / beverages minimums apply). If you’re looking for something more farm-to-table, then check out North Brooklyn Farms – they have classes, tours + a Sunday Supper series.
